Yes for Safety! Yes for Learning! Yes for Hayward Schools! Yes for Our Kids Bond!



To improve safety and learning by construction, furnishing and equipping school facilities; reconstruction, rehabilitating, or replacing deteriorating schools; providing security systems, new or modernized permanent classrooms, land for construction, wireless technology, access for individuals with disabilities, and to qualify for state matching funds, shall the Hayward Unified School District issue $205 million in bonds not to exceed maximum legal interest, with independent citizen oversight, annual audits, and no money for administrators' salaries.

On June 3rd, we made history by passing the first bond measure in Hayward in over 45 years.  The final results were 72% "yes" votes.  Thank you to the campaign volunteers, students, staff and entire community for helping us pass the Measure I bond!

We are continuing to work to get the message out and inform our many diverse community groups about the Bond. If you belong to a faith based organization, a senior or youth group, or business group just to name a few, please send us an email and we will be glad to tailor an informational piece that will work for you. Your leaders can present the information or we can have one of our speakers present it for you.    

 Campaign Headquarter's Hours and Location

Campaign Headquarters at 22630 Foothill Blvd, across from the new theater construction, is open to the public from: 9:30 am to 3:30 pm & 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Monday Through Friday, at 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturdays and 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sundays.  Come down and bring a friend!

Our opportunity to significantly improve our schools, the safety of our students, and the educational infrastuture for our students to learn.
